GID INVESTMENT ADVISERS LLC CLOSES ON 160-UNIT DEVELOPMENT SITE IN CANTON, MA
Boston - (June 2, 2006) -
GID Investment Advisers LLC (“GID”) through a partnership with Criterion Development Partners (“CDP”), announced today that it plans to build Windsor Woods Apartments, a 160-unit luxury apartment community in Canton, MA. The site was acquired on behalf of an affiliate, Columbia Windsor Realty Fund LLC, (“WCRF”). Located on Route 138, just 5 miles south of Route 128, Canton offers access to employment centers along Route 128 from Waltham to Quincy. Canton also offers convenient Commuter Rail access to South Station and Boston’s Financial District. Windsor Woods will consist of three buildings and offer a state of the art community center, pool and fitness facility. The units will include nine-foot ceilings, crown molding, fireplaces, fully-applianced kitchens and washer/dryers. The property will be adjacent to two new soccer fields and a playground. Michael McMahon, Vice President Portfolio Management at GID noted, “This area South of Route 128 has not seen new multi-family product in years. We feel this location will fill a housing need that has been missing in this submarket. CDP has been successful in locating quality sites and delivers a Class-A product.” WCRF is an equity co-investment joint venture between GID and the Oregon Public Employee Retirement Fund.
